Rion Ammerman - Student Art Award Honor

Senate Republican Leader and Morongo Basin Representative Fuller receives CSBA Outstanding Legislator of the Year Award

At its September 8, 2015, meeting, the Morongo Unified School District Board of Trustees nominated California Senate Republican Leader Jean Fuller as the California School Boards Association (CSBA) Outstanding Legislator of the Year. Senator Fuller was recognized on December 4, 2015, at the CSBA Annual Education Conference.  Additionally, Senator Fuller was given a decorative award created by Twentynine Palms Junior High School artist Rion Ammerman. This beautiful depiction of a picturesque Joshua Tree was selected from over 30 pieces submitted as finalists by school districts.

The Board’s recommendation of Senator Fuller was based upon her years of dedicated public service and commitment to education. Prior to becoming the Senate Republican Leader, Mrs. Fuller was a school superintendent, principal and classroom teacher. Morongo Unified School District Superintendent Tom Baumgarten

and Board Member L. Hilary Slotta, who wrote the nomination, were present for the awards ceremony.

New Student Information System

Morongo Unified School District recently changed to a new Student Information System named Illuminate.  There is a Parent Portal for legal guardians/parents to use and a Student Portal for student use ONLY.   A legal guardian/parent must show ID at the school in order to obtain their Parent Portal Access Key.  This Access Key will give you rights to set up an account in the Parent Portal. The Parent portal will give you access to more areas than the Student Portal.  There you can view grades, attendance, assessments, transcripts, some discipline and demographic data.    The Student Portal is for student access to view their grades, take online assessments, and view attendance.  The Student Portal can be found at https://musd.illuminatehc.com/auth#tabs-student.  The Parent Portal access can be found at www.musd.illuminatehc.com
